Dr Clare Kambamettu

Dr Clare Kambamettu, Senior Clinical Psychologist obtained her B.A. in Psychology and History and H. Dip. in Psychology from NUI Galway. She then completed her M.Sc. in Mental Health (specialising in CBT) at King’s College London. She remained in the UK working for several years within the NHS before returning to NUIG to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. 

In the last 15 years Clare has worked across the gamut of mental health services. She has specialist clinical experience in Child and Adolescent, Adult and Forensic Mental Health service provision and draws on this broad range of practice to inform her understanding of mental health and mental wellbeing. Clare is passionate about spreading knowledge that empowers people to take charge of their own mental health throughout their lives; she believes that by building resilience during the good times we can help ourselves to manage the tougher times more effectively. Via the Lighthouse Psychology Clinic which she established in 2015, Clare regularly speaks at mental health, employee wellness and wellbeing events. She is also a presenter on RTE’s Eco Eye documentary series. 

Clare provides training for The Learning Curve Institute on Mental Health related topics.
